Python CLI and library for extracting time series from SWMM binary output files.
Install
pip install swmmtoolboxswmmtoolbox, by Tim Cera, does one narrow job well: it reads the binary .out files SWMM writes and extracts whatever time series you ask for — node, link, subcatchment or system variables — to CSV or straight into pandas, from the command line or as a library.
Because it is command-line first, it slots into shell pipelines and batch post-processing where importing a full modelling stack would be overkill. Part of Cera's family of quiet, dependable water tools (alongside tsproc-style time-series utilities), and a pragmatic companion to PySWMM rather than a competitor.
