Browser-based hydrology and hydraulics calculators for practising engineers — no install, report-ready output.
Python interface to the SWMM engine — step through simulations, read state, and control gates in real time.

Install
pip install pyswmmPySWMM, maintained under the Open Water Analytics community, wraps the SWMM5 engine in Python with an API that goes far beyond batch running: you can step the simulation one timestep at a time, read node and link state mid-run, and change control settings on the fly — which is exactly what real-time-control research and smart-stormwater pilots need.
It also serves the everyday cases: parameter sweeps, calibration loops, results extraction into pandas. If SWMM is in your workflow and Python is in your toolkit, PySWMM is the connection between them.
