About pystorms

pystorms, from the open-storm group (University of Michigan and collaborators), packages curated stormwater networks and storm events into gym-style benchmark scenarios for real-time control research: your algorithm reads states and sets valve/gate actions through a clean Python interface while SWMM runs underneath.

If you are exploring smart stormwater — rule-based, MPC or reinforcement-learning control of distributed storage — pystorms is the fastest way to test ideas against community benchmarks instead of a one-off model, and to compare published results fairly.
