Hydro GeoAnalyst
Environmental data management and 3D visualization software for hydrogeologists and site investigation teams.
3D groundwater flow and transport modeling environment for MODFLOW, SEAWAT, and PEST calibration workflows.
by Waterloo Hydrogeologic
Visual MODFLOW Flex is a graphical modeling environment that integrates conceptual and numerical groundwater modeling for flow, solute transport, and heat transport simulations. It acts as an interactive pre- and post-processing interface for standard engines, including MODFLOW-2005, MODFLOW-NWT, MODFLOW-USG, MODFLOW-6, MT3DMS, MT3D-USGS, RT3D, and SEAWAT. Users can build GIS-integrated, grid-independent 3D conceptual models from geological surfaces, boreholes, and vector layers before generating structured, quadtree, or unstructured numerical meshes and calibrating models with PEST.
Practising hydrogeologists and environmental engineers reach for Visual MODFLOW Flex to evaluate groundwater availability, design mine dewatering systems, delineate wellhead protection areas, and model contaminant plume migration. Its dual workflow allows rapid translation between conceptual interpretations and numerical solvers, facilitating multi-model scenario comparisons without rebuilding geometry. As proprietary commercial software, it requires a paid license and runs exclusively on Windows desktop environments.
