install.packages("airGR")airGR wraps the INRAE (ex-Cemagref) family of parsimonious rainfall-runoff models — GR4H, GR4J, GR5J, GR6J and friends — with the CemaNeige snow module, calibration routines and diagnostic plots, all in R. GR4J in particular is a four-parameter model with decades of benchmarking behind it and remains astonishingly hard to beat for daily streamflow simulation.
For lumped catchment modelling, frequency-augmentation studies or teaching, airGR is about the fastest route from data to a credible calibrated model. Companion packages add a Shiny interface (airGRteaching) and semi-distribution (airGRiwrm).
