pip install hydromtHydroMT (Hydro Model Tools) automates the most tedious part of distributed modelling: turning raw data into a ready-to-run model. Given a region and a data catalogue — global DEMs, land cover, soil, climate forcing, or your own local layers — it builds, updates and analyses model instances for supported engines including Wflow, SFINCS and Delft3D FM.
The data-catalogue concept is the quiet superpower: swap global defaults for local lidar or gauge-corrected rainfall without touching the build workflow. If your team builds more than one model a year, HydroMT turns days of GIS preprocessing into a configuration file.
